Holiday Sick Calls
Calling in sick over Christmas was never done in the past. I can't believe the amount of people taking the holiday off.
SRM in some fleets. That was always taboo....what gives? (I'm sure every sick call is 100% legit...):D I understand that some people really are sick, but this is ridiculous. If you want the good days off, get senior on something. Or...bid reserve for December. I'm sure this is going to **** some people off, but it's just not right. |

Sick calls in the height of cold and flu season from a high-touch work area that never gets sanitized much less cleaned just feet away from an airborne porta-potty.
My money is on - pilots are sick. Talk about poor form, guys who question another pilots integrity or who fly when sick can suck it. (Says the guy senior enough to hold Christmas off!) |

Completely agree. It’s sad. Easy to see the names though. I have free time on my layover so I was looking at all the open trips popping up on my fleet/seat and it’s mostly SCABS. They block their CALREC but history of the trip on CC shows who had it last.
So, are there lots of SCABS on the Airbus? Just looked at CCS and all the JM categories (4 total) were for the A320!! Only 1 IAH 737 Capt JM category! You guys are trolls. If you don't want to fly on Christmas just get senior on something and bid it OFF!! ;) Coming from someone senior enough to hold it off!! |

I’m on reserve and I expect the sick calls to roll in. Why do people get indignant when other people use their contractually negotiated benefits? There’s a 6 day and a 7 day open on Xmas day so we opened all our gifts tonight and we are enjoying a night watching the Rangers game. Xmas is just a day on the calender. |

This is not the normal amount of sick calls. It’s obvious what is going on. I feel comfortable calling guys out on this. |

The level of open trips is waaaay beyond normal cold & flu season.
