No, most are showing up.

“most” are showing up to a legacy job. To think you said that like it’s normal to decline a golden ticket to United. Obviously said individuals have multiple “golden tickets” at once.

UAL is not revoking their CJO’s to candidates who turn them down for DAL and AA. They’re telling those candidates the CJO is still good for 1 year.

It won't be long before majors are going to have to start offering signing bonuses

Heard a lot of no shows are occurring to class. Better prospects, pay, and qol elsewhere. Any truth to this.

Interestingly enough, the graduating class yesterday had two guys from Delta and one from American.

Can you imagine the outrage if UAL did this, and not give us a contract?

In the last 12 months from last week. American has hired 593 pilots who were previously employed at Delta and United. In that same time frame they had 61 pilots leave for Delta and United. We had a few United guys/gals in our AAL NH class.

A lot of AAL WO regional pilots are using Delta and United for a quicker path to American.

50 per month (25 per class) coming from DAL and UAL Vs 5 per month leaving? Those numbers don’t really make sense.

Yea, some don't step back and decipher forest from trees. The only way this #(if true) could be even remotely feasible is if it's counting Delta RJ feeder flying as Delta pilots. Same possibly for United. I know some of the RJ feeders for Delta have a paystub that says Delta, but they ARE NOT Delta pilots.

Yeah… I think you might be right. Now that I’m thinking back, I believe the numbers were from when the airlines started hiring again, not 12 calendar months. I wrote down those numbers (593/61) though and the source was is solid.

Hello, since when the policy was changed? I turned down a CJO from UA for another major.

I was told in December to wait a year for intvw in case I want to re apply.

Thanks

Just pick a place and be happy. Sometimes the grass will be greener on your side of the fence, sometimes it’ll be greener on the other side. Do what you can to help your company / pilot pool grow. But if you’re going to spend your entire career worrying about who’s grass is greener then you may as well go into lawn care.
