On Friday's snapshot for the current vacancy bid there were 8 "unfilled" 320 FO Vacancies for DCA. The junior 737 FO with the bid is 18114. The junior pilot on the property is about 18550Originally Posted by jonw3299

So, anybody who got A320 in the last class (apparently none offered this week) could lateral to DCA immediately. The 737 new hires might have to wait a vacancy bid or two.
Either way, very quickly. On this bid there are 30 DCA 737 FO vacancies and that will bring the staffing in DCA to 305 FOs on the 737 when complete. There are 15 DCA 320 FO vacancies which will bring the staffing in DCA to 140 FOs on the 320. Which will getting you better movement once there is difficult to say without a crystal ball. The pilot that is at 80% on the 737 list on this bid is seniority 17300ish, while the pilot that is 80% on the 320 list is seniority 18000ish. So, the 320 looks slightly better at this point for holding a line. What it will look like a year from now is difficult to say as we have a bunch of 737s coming and a bunch of 321s coming. The 737s have been going mostly to the coasts while the 321s have been going mostly mid continent, but with the XLRs starting to show up in the Spring, 320 bid distribution could change to favor the Northeast.

Wouldn’t the new hires on the Guppy have the 2-year seat lock/ freeze? With the new UPA the freeze starts at the award not beginning the actual training. Originally Posted by GoCats67

he’s saying wait a vacancy award to switch base into DCA if you got, say EWR. Not switch airframes. Originally Posted by Sunrig

Next class starts in the 11th…bid closes on the 13th. Will there be enough time for them to get a bid in for a base change before it closes? How long does it take to get ccs access set up for new hires?Originally Posted by JTwift
