95% of Old Mako's post applies to this day and sadly into the future with the MAX. Hopelessly crappy airplane that has so many after-market, sh!tty fixes that its completely laughable. Tail-Tip procedure is just icing on the cake and reinforces Boeing's utter design failure in the mid-body ranged aircraft market.

Honorable mention has to get shouted out to our friends at SWA who made it all possible.

I was hired at both. I chose wrong. 18 years later, still a guppy FO. Had I gone to Alaska, I'd have been a Captain driving to work for the last 10 years.

At 18 years you could literally be in any seat in the airline-except a widebody Captain. The fact that you’re still a Guppy FO is NOT the fault of the airline you work for.

I fly the uberguppy for the schedule and seniority. If we had a larger bus fleet I'd make the jump in a heartbeat.

At least the MAX fixes all the issues. Oh wait....
Standby power test? Pressurization check? Tire pressure gauges? No clue about any of that stuff. Do we still have flight kits?

Alas, some stuff is true. But Mako, maybe you shouldn't be eating when your partner is hand flying. And if they are pulling the yoke so much that it knocks your tray, perhaps its their technique!

Which part?
That at 18 years (in the current condition) it’s your choice to be in the right seat of the 737?
There’s L-UAL guys junior to him in the left seat.
There’s L-UAL guys junior to him in the right seat of a widebody-right now.
There’s been three vacancy bids this year where guys junior to him are not on the guppy or the bus.

This one. I'm at 18 years and can not hold CA in any seat at any base.

Hey Terminal, Shows how out of touch you are. Early 2000 hire UAL (18 years ago)Can’t hold left seat anywhere. Have had a 777 right Seat bid in for over a year in multiple bases. You should know the facts before you make stupid statements!

I was still thinking it was 2017....thinking 99 hire
But the point remains the same...he is complaining about being in the right seat of the guppy and can sit in the right seat anywhere.

Dude not complaining. I made a factual statement. I like my job, but it has put me through hell twice. For F sake! I can not sit right seat anywhere, not even close! All of the backfills & what small vacancies in the right seat of a heavy have gone senior to me. Even San Fran, which I have a standing bid. Know your facts!
