I was part of an email chain. The numbers I heard were 22 UBU and UBP day on his PBS award for FEB. 2 scheduled days of flying for the whole month. At the end of the month he had flown 10 trips, 8 of which were SRM or PP. 5 of those trips were over his original UBU days. 4 days off.
At least one pilot was paid SRM man as he caught the local crew scheduling violating company/union rules and assigning trips out of order. My friend said there should have been more pay protections.
He originally thought 200-230 hours, but apparently it was over 240. He was pay protected for something. 8 SRM man trips in a month aren't enough. You also need to be pay protected?
I have never heard of anything even approaching this. I have heard 130 hours, maybe 145. Over 200?
One of our ALPA reps, hard at "work".

I believe I heard he had 150+ in Jan, 240+ in Feb, no info for March, and 130+ in April. Nice work if you can get it. March 1st he started his LEC position, but he was union dropping beginning in January.
Is that the same job the rest of us signed up for?

100% sure? I understand your disbelief and wish you were correct, but it did happen.
By assigning pre blocked unpaid UBU Days it was possible to tactically remove them and then be available for numerous last minute PP trips.
Was this legal? Probably, except going below min days off. Was this behavior ethical? I think the LEC meeting results answered that question.
All the best,
SP
