Default Recurrent Training Ill

Hi everyone,

I have my CQLOE in two days and I am not feeling well at all. This is my early month and June awards are out. If I call in sick, do they force me into the sim in June during reserve days of during off days, or do I just wait and bid for my grace month in July. I was also just awarded a different fleet in this vacancy but I’m not scheduled to go to training yet. Might that impact this? Thanks!

If you’re sick, call in sick. Don’t put others at jeopardy. It will have 0 bearing on your awarded vacancy. They will get you in training when able.

Sick leave is there for a reason.

If you show up sick not only do you risk busting a ride being less than optimal, but you risk getting everyone else sick you come in contact with, which would really **** me off if I were your panel jockey or sim partner.

Doody happens, show up when you’re fit for duty. (See what I did there?)

If you call in sick but still want to do the training event call training scheduling and tell them you’d like to get in in May or June, if someone else cancels you can get their slot.

Last Nov I had to stop the sim, 2 hours in, because I had food poisoning. “Sure you can’t finish?” “Hell, I’m not sure I can make it back to the Doubletree!!”

Wondered how rescheduling would work. (I too was early month). They had me call a scheduler the next day...they told me what was available, and I picked something that worked for me. That part was painless (two days sick in the hotel were not).

Call in sick if you’re sick.

That's more where I was headed with this. I will call in sick. Just more curious about the rescheduling. Thanks!
