Tagging the work place? sometimes they draw on a white board that can be erased and have magnets that stick to the door jam, there is no damage being done to the workplace. I could understand if they were using stickers that can't be removed cleanly and causing problems for the cleaning staff.....
Is no one allowed to have any fun anymore? should the instructors just be lifeless robots that just regurgitate the same information all day? Lighten up a little, you seem to be angry about something that means nothing. Everyone of those "8" are fantastic instructors and evaluators.

You gotta expand more on this to make your point. All I’m getting is a decal revolving around some inside joke with the PI’s above a door frame is upsetting to you. How are you finding these offensive?

Yes yes, hateful 8 moniker, decals above doors. I’ll ask you again sir, are they failing people on purpose? Are they being racists, sexists? Are they displaying outward hostility and making training difficult for no reason?

So to answer your question, is it "for no reason"? No, I think there is a reason which could either be a reflection of the management culture or individuals who simply hate the repetition of the work. Maybe it's something else. And yes, there has been outward hostility and making training more difficult than it needs to be. Ask anyone who went through in winter of 2015 if they had reason to critique the transition course. To be fair, I understand that training is currently better in DEN than it was in IAH several years ago. Additionally, there ARE some awesome instructors in the fleet now.
So, when an inside joke stops being an inside joke in a fleet at TK that has a reputation for being tools, how should it be received?
A previous post mentioned that the Hateful 8 are the good guys. OK, cool, ironic name, but fine. The fleet needs good guys, seriously. Tagging the briefing rooms with their logos without letting line pilots in on the joke only helps to perpetuate a perception that it's business as usual.
You guys are pretty sensitive about this, any chance you work in the building? In the 787 fleet? I'm not butt hurt about anything, but as a schmuck line pilot I'd expect to have the training department help me learn an airplane, not, learn the airplane in spite of the training department.

It's no secret that the fleet has a less than stellar reputation for being user friendly, and many feel that the training is narrowly focused and delivered with a healthy dose of arrogance.
