Applicants of current employees, sons and daughters, what have been the competitive times those applicants have been getting on. Is it been lower than the average? Just curious on this.

Also have people been hired without an ATP?

300 for the civilian event, 300 for the military event. I do not know how many for the family and friends event but I will ask.

Wow... that's not a whole lot considering how many apps they have on file. But thanks

Nope, but 300 is pushing the limits of capacity for the training center.

By all indications this could become a regular event provided it's deemed a success.

Right.

But it’s not realistic to assume ALL 300 attendees will be hired, let alone interviewed, let alone get through the Hogan.

Just like even the strong candidates that get CP M&G’s, the former military recruiting events, etc.

Yup.

Statistically I'd presume that only X% of the 300 ever end up on the line----at that's what will cause the heartburn of all involved.

Agreed/True.

There will be those that will cry fowl that if they were good enough for invite yet no Hogan/interview/hire.

As well as you can count on the Monday after, SOMEONE is gonna post

“Anybody hear anything yet?”

These are the same people doing the interviews. A friendly face across the table on interview day that remembers you being friendly and polished when you were "wasting everyones time" is priceless. The hoops you jump through suck but the prize is worth it.

I disagree with the friendly face across the table notion. You can’t tell me the odds are in the favor of any given candidate to have the same recruiter at the job fair turn out to being the one doing their actual interview down the road.

We really need to stop these games with regard to recruiting. We’ve been playing the “keep on doing what you’re doing” game to some highly qualified candidates at job fairs over the last 5 years and barely hired while Delta, SWA, FEDEX, etc have hired massively. Now we are going to waste everyone else’s time by inviting the top applicants to another job fair vs getting to the point and inviting them for the real interview.

Can’t tell you how man of my friends have heard that not only from recruiters but the app review/job prep people as well.

“Looks great, you’re just what we/they are looking for. Should get a call soon, not sure why you haven’t heard yet”.
