That is correct.

They return as active pilots with their seniority, pay longevity, and vacation allocation as if they were never gone. They have also been treated as active employees for pass benefits the entire time so that does not change.

FWIW, the pilots that remain out can all hold widebody FO and many, if not all, can hold narrowbody CA. It is for this reason that the ones that really want to return probably already have---with some exceptions naturally.

Once such a continuous period exceeds ten (10) years, a Pilot shall forfeit all recall rights and his name shall be removed from the Seniority List. Pilots shall receive longevity credit for all time spent on furlough.

So don't wait too long.

Wonder why the CAL furloughees weren’t given the same privileges? I’m pretty sure I already know the answer but still can’t fathom why our Union hasn’t addressed this as aggressively as they have with other L-UAL issues?

That's pretty easy to answer.

The CAL recalls occurred PRIOR to the UPA under the CAL contract. By the time the UPA was in force all the CAL furloughees had been recalled and CAL did not have the 10-year bypass.

So in summary, it was all LUAL's fault.

Not at all L-UAL’s fault at all but something that should be corrected and not ignored.

FWIW, ALL pilots have been restored to their DOH longevity and vacation.

There are a small subset of LCAL pilots that do not have their DOH for travel as a result of the pre-merger CAL policy and I agree that needs to be corrected.

In fact, it's B.S. that we are even talking about this is 2018. This should have been fixed years ago.

I think the SLI more than made up for it.

You didn't. Some pilots simply cannot deal with reality.

Great news that United is hiring and FRs are coming back.
