Default J/S Listing..

Hello guys/gals. Curious as to if your jumpseat procedures have changed. In the past I’ve always just walked to gate to list, but have heard stories recently of agents requiring a listing. Wide open out of KOA tomorrow and was hoping to get out of there the cheaper route. TIA

If you are UA Or UAX list. If not just go to the gate there is no other way to get listed.

Any issues, talk to the CA as they come through- I think the Kona agents are good about jump seaters.

As long as you are in CASS (and not a scab) there shouldn't be any problems....

If the agent gives you a seat in the back, please check in with the Captain as it is required.

Safe travels!

Was a professional commuter for 8 years, so I always abide by the JS rules and etiquette. And no...not a scab.

It depends. If it's Southwest or American (I know SWA doesn't fly out of Hawaii but it still applies to them,) you need to list on https://www.myidtravel.com/myidtrave...=login-generic and create a PNR. American gate agents aren't required to create a listing for you and may make you do it online first. SWA gate agents do not even have to ability to create a listing anymore, jumpseat or otherwise.

He is most definitely not a scab.

Never said he was.

Merely included the fact that MOST United Captains don't allow scab's on the jumpseat.

I personally won't even allow one to have a cabin seat on a jumpseat listing. If there is an open seat they will have to use a pass.

I support you but not sure this is true. Iv’e never flown with a CA who has or would deny a scab the seat. I usually ask their opinion on the matter and not one has said they would. I just flew with a guy wearing the battlestar and asked him. He said he’d let the guy jump but wouldn’t speak with him.
