MyUA Discount with infant?
Has anyone figured out how to book a MyUA discount ticket and add a lap child? Booking on the app I don’t see an option for adding an infant. And on united.com I don’t see a way to pull up MyUA discount fares.
Thanks in advance!

I'd consider buying your child a seat. Lap child isn't as safe as having a kid in a car seat.
Especially being a pilot, you know the risks. And it's one I personally won't take to save any amount of money.
Plus you can put the child down while they nap and actually enjoy a break.

I have bought a ton of UA discount tix and added a lap baby. You do it when you check in through the website. You can’t add it on the app when you check in, so go to the main site. FWIW when my guy was little we would buy 2 first class seats and do the lap thing, but now he’s bigger we just buy a whole row.

Yep - it's effectively zero.
I got bored trying to find the last time a lapchild died in a circumstance where a carseat might have helped. But the last accident where it even COULD have been possible was 1999 with the AA overrun at LIT. Since that point (on US airlines) all accidents have killed everyone on board and from 2009-present day the single passenger fatality was the partial ejection SW accident.
So yeah, save the money!
