"DEN 787 NPDM
Earlier this morning, United announced that it will begin 787 service between DEN and FRA starting on May 2, 2019. The service will operate year-round, with daily frequency in the summer and five times per week in the winter.
As a result, Flight Operations has just initiated a Notice of Proposed Decision Making (NPDM) with the ALPA System Schedule Committee to examine the feasibility of opening DEN 787 categories. The NPDM will pay close attention to the fact that the existing DEN 787 flying is flown by LAX 787 pilots. Regardless of the NPDM result, the LAX 787 categories will remain OPEN.
The next vacancy bid will open on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. I will publish a Crew Resources Update on that day which will include the latest pilot staffing news.
If you have further questions, I can be reached at *****.

I'm going with CLE But seriously, if the 787 base opens in DEN, can you say "displaced"! All the FOs will be back for landings every 90 days in a class administered by the very guys that caused them to lapse.

Recently flew a trip with a bunch of senior DEN commuters where the only topic was how many Mx Ferries they had gotten and how many more they should be getting. Be interesting to see how many of that group will be persuaded that driving to work for a 3 day Atlantic trip is actually just fine. That said I bet the OE and TK drops for those trips will be absolutely batty.
