No! But I like the way you think.

Don't you mean "pound me too"?

How have I seen that symbol this many times and not thought of that...

It’s always been pound me too.

Dave, aren’t we actually closing the gap on Delta in several different metrics of performance?

On paper I agree in a couple of instances. However, as our management continues to **** away thousands of dollars to save a penny...fuel, gates, ramp....the RJ issue.

I think the actual quote is, UAL will step over a dollar to pick up a penny.

they may step over a dollar to pick up a penny.

what I want to know is if they will treat the pilots fairly, honor the profession, help us restore dignity to the industry, and do the right thing; or if they will intentionally go out of their way to destroy any goodwill Oscar might have benefited from since him taking over by insisting on scope give backs via his hired help.

I know we keep bashing Kirby for his scope-approach, but I wonder if the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Is this Oscar's scope-rope-a-dope?

My personal opinion (worth exactly zero) is that he's speaking of the need for more regional RJs publicly in order to distract us while he gets what he wants on other parts of the contract. Such as NSNB rates. And I'm sure there are other areas that he's targeting - I will admit that I don't know what they are, but I view scope as Kirby's version of a magician trying to redirect the crowd's attention to a shiny distraction.

I have seen this divert-and-distract approach work for management at an AAG regional that was previously under Kirby's domain. I have no doubt it is part of the strategy.

Please, don't give an inch on scope, yet don't get distracted by it either. United needs good NSNB rates too! The E2-195 or A220-300 (CS-300) will be eventually replacing many of the A319s and and 737-700s. You're not just negotiating NSNB rates...

Keep in mind that even the E2-195 is 4 rows longer than the E195, and the E2-195 now has just as many seats as a 737-700!

(Yes, the E2-195 really has 120 seats in a three-class config...)

This isn’t a regional, I think the MEC has a fairly good idea of what Kirby is after- the answer is no.
