Flight Operations is pleased to announce that new-hire classes will occur on January 7, 14 and 21, for approximately 40 pilots each.

Here is the current schedule of announced upcoming classes:

-December 10
-January 7
-January 14
-January 21

120 new hires in December and 120 in January. I wonder if that’s going to be a trend? They said 1,200 hires in 2020 and 4,000 by 2022. They’d have to do at least 120 a month to make that happen. With 65 planes being delivered in 2020 we are going to need at least 120 new pilots a month.

How long until invites for those classes go out?

Previously no more than 30 days, because they were leaving room for furlough returnees, but now that there are no more furlough returnees, it could be as soon as a CJO + class slots are available.

My guess is they are going to stick with 30 days because that’s what they’ve been doing and its working.

The wizz quiz only lasts 30 days. It will always be 30 days prior to class. Congrats to all that get the call! Wonderful time to be hired at United!
