“Expedia alleged that United was trying to explicitly harm Expedia as a negotiating tactic.”

Isn’t that how every airline management negotiates?

Good luck with the non-rev...

SWA has never used third-party booking sites, and we still fill ‘em up.

Probably a good move to cut ties with Expedia.

Will this cut down on people self booking 10 minute connection times and then freaking out on the flight attendants when in mid they figure out that there isn’t a chance in he11 they are going to make their next flight?

(I know......I’m joking, it’s never going to happen.)

Seems to me that these sites just dump last minute seats at a stop loss for the airlines. It's what has made near 100% load factors possible over the last decade or so. That's why you can try to non rev on a flight that has 20 open seats and hardly any standbys then suddenly an hour before the flight its oversold with 20 revenue standby. People go on the internet and grab those last minute discounts not even knowing they are standby oversells and find out when they check in.

At the end of the day this just seems like a cable dispute though. You know call now and tell Direct TV you love our channel because we get dropped at the end of the month. I'm sure they will get it worked out.

I know you were joking, but you cannot book flights ( one 1 ticket) with less than the minimum established connection times, even on OTA (Online travel agencies like Expedia)

You can if you book them as separate tickets.

Exactly! I even see it when we arrive 15 minutes early! Let see, some basic math; door shuts 10 minutes prior to departure; it takes approximately 5 minutes to open the door after the brakes are set; you arrive at gate B1 and depart C30.
