Just save yourself looking like a retard and admit you don’t like them because they’re a throwback to whatever legacy you didn’t come from or thin stripes just offend you or something that can’t be easily disproven.

Um...Im legacy UAL...and I do not like the thin stripes. What ever floats your boat pal!

As long as we lose that purple tie, I’m good with thick or thin stripes, hat or no hat. Just no purple. It has no place on a professional aviator.

From what I’ve heard (nothing official) the purple tie is about the only thing not up for debate. Set your expectations accordingly

Lighten up Francis! For $240/hr as a wide body F/O, I’d dress up like a damn Leprechaun if that’s what they choose. It’s completely irrelevant and we have much more important thing to be concerned about........like our next contract!!!

Leather jacket .... I realize TopGun 2 is nearly out but let’s let that thing die along with any new version of the 737 ...

Def prefer thick stripes but will happily go with either . Why the FA’s have thick stripes on theirs doe

No......more......hat. This isn't 1967. I identify as a hatless aviator. Let us be unified and push this toward a hatless profession. Purple tie optional.

To me the best uniforms are ones that fit in, easy to wear, the blouse/jacket can be folded, put in our bags and then hung until most of the wrinkles go away.

This^^^ plus...

Why do some of you feel we need to differentiate our look from the regional pilots? Compensating or something? Like your lifted pickup.
Seriously, maybe if we spent a little capital on joining ranks with regional pilots, we’d have a little more stroke on scope.

Do you “regional differentiators” think they are some kinds second class pilot species?

I’d rather see the company spend a little more money on cleaning the two decades of dead skin, food crumbs, and stink from the flight decks of the 756 fleet. I’d rather see the union spend a little more energy on getting the company to clean up.

excellent update on the new uniforms, good changes to materials, function and best of all color. No purple tint. No purple jacket liner and best of all....no purple tie. Going to be Rhapsody blue.
Some of this group with pathetic standards couldn’t care and would be happy in a clown or leprechaun suit on , but it appears they actually listened to those of us who care about how we look

Then there are the fashionistas with white New Balance velcro shoes, knock off Tommy Bahama shirt (XXL to cover the XXL gut), and the Walmart cargo shorts with the heavy-duty cell phone holster in the ready position.

For what they’re paying me I’d wear a chicken suit and be damn glad to do it.

Pathetic standards. Ha.
