Can we discuss the fine chicken crew meal with the “blacked grill marks” just perfectly etched with straight lines on it..... as if that piece of chicken ever saw a grill or a chicken for that matter ....

You look at the first airline uniforms and take the latest versions of today's airline uniforms--draw a line and see the slight progression? Retro would be a grand slam....aka Pan Am. I nod to our elders who made this a great career. As far as "Thick Stripes" vs "Thin Stripes". aka not looking like a Regional pilot (from what a ALPA REP told me) ...ever heard of TWA, PAN AM, NWA, EAL, Braniff, National....I could go on? All of home had thick stripes! |

Thin stripes are part of legacy UAL. Goes back to the 1990’s and the post brown uniforms.

And UPS got them at auction from a UAL dumpster (or so I can only imagine) And yes they are exactly the same uniforms ....what’s that mean for us going forward?
Purple isn’t meant to be a part of a professional uniform, regardless if it’s airline or office! Tie and/or accessories...that’s different than the entire suit/uniform. I’ll wear damn near anything as long as the paycheck clears and it’s from the company on my aircrafts tail....just let me ask for... no hats and my leather jacket !😀 |
I second the no hats. Seriously, does anyone in the pilot group want to wear the hat? I'll bet it's less than 5%.

Just save yourself looking like a retard and admit you don’t like them because they’re a throwback to whatever legacy you didn’t come from or thin stripes just offend you or something that can’t be easily disproven. |

I have to say the hat looks more professional if I was still flying I would have zero issues wearing that hat.
I am not up with the new digs the thin stripes IMHO look so much better. |
