Me “So, if you are the most senior CSR on this shift, would you be number 1 or number 50?” Gate agent:”Number 1!” Me “ okay, let’s look at these two pilots again, would you think number 6,000 or number 11,200 would be more senior?” Gate agent “I’m so sick of dealing with pilot jumpseaters..Here, take it and go down, I’m over it!..”. Hands me the form and down I go. He must have been embarrassed or something but I was smiling and nice about the whole thing. We both ended up getting on the flight.

That D bag needs an attitude adjustment. Too much of this in IAH, IMO. Too many think it’s ok to treat us this way. Only way it changes is if we call it out when it happens.

This was in SFO and the problem agent is well known. Works late night shift.

Could be. There were two problem CSRs at SFO that worked redeyes. Both men. Good news is that the vast majority of CSRs were great so chances were (I’m my case each time) the agent standing next to these gents would correctly address your jumpseat needs. Shouldn’t be the case but CSRs, if reported by pilots/flight attendants, are rarely disciplined.

Coming out of Tampa to EWR about 6 months ago , captain was trying to go down during zone 1 , agent there went off on him giving him crap. Saying wait your turn for Zone 3

This captain was having zero of it , pull her aside and reamed her out as he was a check airmen doing official business in uniform , and she had no leg to stand on. Pulled out his FOM to show her how she was wrong and just rude and unprofessional. He Did it professionally but crushed her soul at the same time . I was so so so happy to witness this , this women has been long overdue for a check to reality and being bitter is 10 plus years ago . It’s the only I’ve noticed in TPA who just appears to hate all aspects of life
