You might be right. I'm sure marketing certainly knows what they are doing!

We've been out of gates in SFO since last fall....and to the other guy talking about downgauging, no way a 767 can make it. It doesn't have the legs. A 777-200 can barely do it when full.

Uhhh seriously.... the 777 route that gets downgauged, frees up a 777 that can NOW be utilized on the longer route......geez like talking to my brother-in-laws-sisters-neighbors-friends kids.......😉

(Disclaimer My post is mainly to amuse...no serious swipes at anyone real or imagined is intended).

Happy fourth everyone!!🙁🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

SFO-MEL, SFO-DEL, 2nd SFO-HKG this fall. Sounds like good problems to have. How many 787’s do we have coming this fall/winter? Maybe as those arrive, 777 may become available and migrate to some new routes.

4 777-300s
9 787s (some 9s some 10s)

all between Nov2019 and May2020, not sure where all of those are going (SFO-DEL for some), but they don't get here until after the 2nd SFO-HKG starts.

Since the start of the 2nd SFO-HKG corresponds to the downguage of ORD-CDG (777-767) and ORD-BRU (777-767) I figure that is where some of the 777-200s will come from. What I don't know is where the 777-300 that is currently on SFO-HKG will go to?

So.....We should see some bids reflecting this growth as well as bids reflecting more retirements....?No??

Did the 3 Hawiian 767 300's make onto property yet? What's their status? Did any of the domiciles experience any growth due to those planes? Heard end of June was estimated arrival....

We absolutely should.

FWIW, and since you are asking, you probably need to get onto the ALPA mailing list if you are not already.

Both the union (System Schedule Committee) and the company (Manpower Planning) have outlined the "plan."

And it's a good one for pilots.
