Make your bacon and eggs like you do every morning, sip on your coffee with your dog by your side, clear the coffee table of all except those things and your laptop, then go.

Rent office space for the Hogan? ygbsm
I took mine sitting in my recliner, in my family room whilst sipping coffee in my pajamas. I passed.

Thanks for the link. Any idea on what sort of results would be considered “good”?

I did the same, but got the TBNT email the next day. Devastated is an understatement.

It’s been a moving target through the years as far as what falls into the parameters set by the HR/pilot selection group.

But if you do a search, you’ll some consistent advice.

Apparently they recently changed the procedures for taking the Hogan. I heard from an FO that you have to download some spyware for United to have access to your computer and gotta webcam the whole thing + webcam around the space your taking the test in and there's all kinds of rules of what can and cannot be in the room. If I had a house with a office or other neutral /professional setup I wouldn't worry about it. God knows I don't want to fail the Hogan because they don't like the art on the wall, or deem it unprofessional that I live in a city loft, or don't like the fact there's a TV or Alexa in the background.

Normally I'd have just fixed a nice coffee and a snack, wore PJs and just sat on the couch. But now that they are webcamming everything, I suppose we now need to be presentable in an interview-worthy way.

The point of my original post was really to find out if I do actually need to invest in a webcam?? Because I do not have one. And this FO telling me about this claims people are failing the test because of software compatibility on old computers and pop ups within windows flagging your test and DQing applicants. Ridiculous hoops to jump through... but if I need to buy $$ electronics the after Thanksgiving sales are as good a time as ever.

Yep. Talk about airlines overthinking the recruiting/hiring process just a tad the last 15 or so years.

Talk about the applicants overthinking taking this test. Everyone I know who failed the Hogan thought way to hard.
