Hogan test
When can an individual expect to take the hogan test for United prior to being invited to an interview?

This was in May, but I had 2 weeks between Hogan and interview. I do not have an indoc date however...expecting late October or November.

In the time it took to write that unhelpful reply, you could’ve simply typed the answer.

Hello, I wanted to ask about people’s recent Hogan experiences. I took it three days ago and got the rejection letter the next day. I was devastated and still am considering United was where I really wanted to be. I was unable to record the end while submitting it as some people suggested in previous years because we are no longer able to have access to our cell phones while taking it. I did notice all green check marks for a mili-second after submitting my test though which led me to believe I passed or maybe just simply completed all required sections.
My question is what exactly does the rejection email say? Did it mention the Hogan at all in it? Or the Becoming United portion? Mine just said “After careful consideration of the information gathered during our pilot selection process, I regret we are unable to continue processing your application at this time.” I am worried that I actually didn’t fail the test. This is because I received a pop up web browser notification during the exam even though I was careful to close all browsers and applications per the test instructions. Unfortunately, this was in direct violation of exam protocol. I am still racking my brain trying to figure out why I received that alert during the exam on more than one occasion when nothing appeared to be open or running simultaneously. I was able to click OK which I did, verified nothing was open or running and continued on with the test. This leads me to believe I was flagged by the system for this and my results were considered invalid regardless of what they were. Ultimately, I just would like to know for my own sanity considering I have taken many similar personality exams for previous employers and never have had an issue until now. With that said I understand that these exams are all different and the results are interpreted differently amongst employers to satisfy what they are looking for in potential candidates. Any info/advice and or previous experiences are welcomed! Thank you. |
553, that’s a very tough letter to get and a big disappointment for sure. It seems unlikely that you’re at fault in any way regarding the process and I certainly hope the test evaluated just your answers. Others may have more insight on that as I haven’t taken the Hogan test. In hope other options work out and even a successful reapplication at United, which does happen.

That being said, I was a first time hogan no-go and my letter read almost verbatim what you got. It took over 2 years but I did get a re-invite and am very happily employed by United. |
In 2007, we were required to take the Hogan in a test center. I went to some college to take it.
Now, I think you get recorded as you’re taking it in your own home. |
