Default AV day questions

For a line holder, I understand in the contract where you can pick either the first or last day of trip during the next month to get your day replaced. Is it our choice which day we want to preference: first vs the last? Can they override?

And does the futures desk have the right to say "no" on which trip you want to drop? And if so, under what pretenses?

Lastly, who do we call to get the AV days removed? I know i have to wait until 1500 before the first AV day starts. But do i call futures or crew skeds?

Thanks!

Just went through it myself. I read the contract and you have to give them 2 choices and they get to pick. I called futures desk to have mine removed the first of 2 AV days and they had not called to use me. They said they can’t remove them because we are pay protected. I thought if they didn’t use you they were removed and you could pick up a trip. I tried to pick up a 50% add pay trip and it wouldn’t let me.

Sorry

Just saw this.

I’m going to assume this is a day off resto due to Reassignment. If so, read 20-N of UPA. Yes, the company can decline your choice of days.

Make your preference known to the Future Desk by 24 hrs after finishing the trip.

Until 1500 the day prior, you are vulnerable to a repair as stated in the UPA 20-F. After that, call crew scheduling to pull the AV days so you can double dip on the pay. That is due to an IT pay glitch that is back again.....

Take snap shots.

Last note, unlike a FBO, LPV goes down for PDRO. PTC is protected in the PDRO process. Significant overs can be forfeited. You can ask to defer the resto to the next month if that is a factor.
