I would have skipped the DH back into base and gone straight home, and I would have been happy to do it at straight pay. There were no reserves so I held off picking it up in hopes of a 100% PPU. Joke was on me, a guy senior to me took it at 50%. :(

If you were okay with picking it up at straight pay, then why wait? Sounds like greed backfired. :o

Yes.

Wouldn't it be easier to type 1.5, instead of 50%? You don't have to hold down the shift key for 1.5

What’s a shift key?

Darn right it backfired! I have since instituted new pickup criteria: At the current pay rate, will I be ****ed off if I someone else picks up the trip while I dither? If the answer is "yes", I'll take it as is. In this particular example, I waited because I didn't really think anyone would take it before it hit 100%... and was ****ed when it went for less.

Same here! Waited on a one leg west coast to EWR dead head back at 75% waiting for 100%. Greed got the best of me. Not happening again.

Any reason for why the add pay gets dropped when a premium pay trip gets assigned to a reserve? I was under the impression that premium pay was due to a LACK of reserves.

Why would a reserve get premium pay if they’re getting the trip anyway?

I guess the question I'm asking is why offer it at premium pay if there are reserves available?

I’ve noticed they don’t always have reserves either super last minute, for a really early report or just low on reserves in general. It makes sense to save some reserves and not use every single one to have a contingency.
