Well this doesn’t sound good for a company that was formerly printing money, returning a ton via dividends, and buying back billions in stock.

Not sure it really changes anything. There’s been plenty of companies that get new loans or access to credit but never draw that money, as the article says it’s a delayed draw loan not like $10b is being dropped in their bank account.

They aren’t getting paid until they deliver the aircraft so having something like 400 airplanes sitting around they haven’t been paid for they are just setting up funds in case they’d like to draw on them as the time to set up that kind of resource is not at the moment you want it. Also, even if they have that cash already available they may prefer to draw it from lending resources than spend every liquid dollar they have.

Boeing announced yesterday that the MAX will now not likely be flying till at least mid year. Which means that the MAX will be out of schedules at least till after summer.

And an article about the fact that Boeing hasn't filed the WARN paperwork so they are not planing furloughs.. YET.
But Spirit Aerospace has, and they say there are numerous smaller companies that will have to lay off too.

What a mess.

Hope these Junior 737 CAs didn’t take the bid thinking they were going to have a line......going to be a lot of people on reserve this summer.

Either that or some low value lines as they spread the flying thin.

This is just the next advise time, just like we do when an airplane is on maintenance. Which means that if all the moons and stars align, essentially best case scenario. I look for it to be pushed back again.

I wonder if our pilots will sue like the SWA pilots did for damages? Clearly, the 737 pilot community has been economically effected.

Well in that vein...maybe the extra scheduling of the A320 pilots has been a windfall, perhaps they should share with their suffering 737 peers.....
