I’m not sure what clipboards other dudes are using. I use a modified mini clip board that weighs less than my Telex headset.

You guys really don't need an acars clipboard and yoke cheat sheet to get the airplane off the ground. All you're doing is just creating extra work. Try it without. It's liberating.

To hell with all you clipboard dorks!

But why? What do you ever print that you need to look at again that isn’t saved in the ACARS?
Final Weights message Hazmat printout HOWGOZIT (easy to write on when it's on the mini clipboard) LDM Anything else the Captain wants printed (often PDC or crew list) At stations without D-ATIS and/or PDC I copy the ATIS and/or clearance onto a sheet on the clipboard. |
TODM, ATIS goes in the trash after takeoff
FWM can be put in window after takeoff (on FO yoke before TO) Rare flight you have hazmat captain almost always puts by his window Ldm not till end of flight if captain wants crew list it’s because he wants it on his yoke or stick it near the footrest All that’s left is Pdc, howgozit, and maybe destination atis. Fold and stick on empty space....simple enough |

Trash bag works great for all that paper.

How do I bookmark this thread? I’d like to revisit this in 5 years when we are arguing over really tough stuff just to remind myself how good we had it.
