That is a person and I actually flew with that Captain about 2 1/2 years ago.

Does his brother own a factory that makes vests?

Haha. Apparently, he just felt strongly about it and made it happen.
Seemed like a nice guy based on my limited interaction.

Trash bag works great for all that paper.

Exactly, I put everything in the trash bag, in the order it was printed. If I need it, the other guy knows where to find it. :)

If you HAVE to be an anal clipboard dork, you can grab a binder clip from ops - free. Although, I only use mine to get the sunshade you stay where I need it.

No one was stopping him from wearing one, why he felt it was his “mission” to force it on 13,000 other people escapes me.

A better question. How many pilots got run over by ground equipment before we all had to wear vests? How many pilots have been run over by ground equipment since we all started wearing vests on walkarounds?
I suspect the number is approximately zero both before and after mandatory vest usage.

I feel better because now I wear bubble wrap and a helmet with strobes on it too. Safety first.

I just never do walkarounds. Problem solved (for me).

The first time someone asks where my vest is will be my last walk around, they can give my vest back to Commander Vest Mission- it's still in plastic.

Unless there’s an issue that requires my input and presence, I do the walk around on the FOs leg. They load the box, etc.

My leg, I load the box. They do walk around.

Old UA shuttle thing.

And my vest came from Walmart for 3.95. Rolls up into a small ball rather than the football the company gave us.
