Default Has anyone seen new uniforms?

just wondering if the testers were out there. I have not seen any. The link on flying together only has sketches of the new uniforms...

Look for a new improved safety vest in a “relaxed fit” size for our “husky” captains with a built in cell phone holster and a clear pocket for a picture of their “girlfriend” from LIM or HKG.

Next round of wear testing begins around the 24th as the revised design is shipped to the wear testers.

I'm pretty sure I saw one this morning passing through the CPO in SFO, but I couldn't really judge it because I was only there for a few minutes and 1: The wearer was sitting next to another pilot and evidently busy with flight planning or somesuch. 2. The wearer was a she and I'm not sure it would have gone over very well if I'd asked her to stand up and slowly turn around a few times while I inspected the material. 3. I never saw a pilot actually wearing the new uniform during the first wear test, so I couldn't honestly say if it was an improvement.

I had thought the wear test was going to start later this month, but perhaps that is not accurate.

Does the new uniform include a new contract?

You sure it wasn't the previous L-UAL uniform? Saw that again in SFO fairly recently and at first I thought it was a wear tester. Nope, full old school L-UAL uni right down to the hardware. Came up and told him that Halloween had long since past but boy did he look sharp.

Well, I don't know exactly what that uniform looked like. From behind as I first walked by, I didn't even realize she was wearing a uniform until I spotted the thin silver braids on her blazer sleeve. The jacket color was about right for the new uniform (a lighter shade of blue, which I had previously seen on static display). I did another head to head pass and thought, "Guess the new wear test is on". Along with being silver, the wings looked different... kind of "fat" vs. the slimmer ones we have now. Along with a legacy uniform I'm not familiar with, I suppose she could have been from another airline but I'm pretty familiar with our competitors uniforms (don't remember if her I.D. was visible either). I didn't doubt it was the new uniform at the time but I'll frankly admit I was surprised to see it and could have been mistaken.
