CNN shows significant bias. There have been plenty of scandals involving CNN as well. ALL news is biased.

Back on topic.....

Does anyone know what the pay solutions will be for cancelled flights? I'm too lazy to look it up in the contract...

Thanks Dave for being one of the few adults here. The rescheduling and pay solution is that affected pilots will most likely be put on AV days. Since the cancellation would probably be before check in, an affected pilot would be placed on an AV day for the length of the trip. They can do a few things with you.

1. The crew desk can schedule you for a trip or FSB by 15:00 the day prior. If they do not schedule the pilot, then at 15:01 the pilot can have the AV days removed.

2. Once removed, you can pick up trips on top of where you were originally scheduled.

A nine figure settlement to the kid from Kentucky with MAGA hat on would say otherwise. That’s just one.

Reserves can still expect a SC assignment, every single day.

Thats a different can of worms. Im talking about lineholders losing flying. They cannot be put on reserve...as much as the schedulers would love to try that.

As they should. They are on reserve and SC’s have no limits, so plan for the worst case scenario right?

Dashtrash has what happens to line holders in this situation a few posts above. I have done it more than a few times and have never had crew desk try anything like putting me on reserve in fact they have been great about having av days removed after 300pm on the first day.

Right, which is why they pay to have their broadcasts displayed in airport terminals and other public places.

They are at least as good as USA Today.

If your originating segment is cancelled, that’s covered by 20-F-1. PTC doesn’t change in that scenario, LPV does.

Read 20-F-1.

The Union/company also have a process to allow pilots to opt off a trip. The ROE is going out in a blast mail today from the MEC. With this scenario, you are NOT pay protected.

Read the email.
