Furlough estimate

If you can’t see the difference between what an empty line is and someone picking up to 100+ credit with pilots on furlough then that’s on you. Don’t try to make me out to be some DB that doesn’t know the difference.

I see a “tiered” furlough mitigation with the most senior pilots having to sacrifice the least will probably fail ratification by 2/3 at least. It seems to me, that the Company would save more by equal across the board or tiered opposite of what the rumor is. That would probably ratify by 2/3. Maybe I’m wrong though???

Your logic makes zero sense, when the AIP comes out according to the rumors it should contain cancelling all displacements. So if the company was buying time to do a MOAF, wouldn’t it make sense to keep all displacements in place instead of cancelling them? Drop the m@sturbation furlough soap and think straight.
The rumored displacement canxn is a new wrinkle that wasn’t being discussed when I posted a few hours ago. In light of previous information, it makes perfect, logical sense. Sorry if you don’t see it that way.
Just curious, you and many here don’t seem to have a problem with the company dividing the pilot group into thirds. Why?

How in the world would “all displacements cancelled” work since so many guys have already been sent to/through training?
I’m thinking somebody got a head start on their furlough plans and made an early trip down to the dispensary.

As for your August 31st 2021 MOAF, it looks like a statement pushed out of a rear end to create more fear. I’ll give you more credit if you tell me you’ve used the Pythagorean theorem to come up with that date.
The pilot group divided in third, I can tell you why but that will violate our principle of not negotiating in public, sorry my union speaks for me.

training started in June at this point everyone who has been trained needs an RQ1 (CQ) event or RQ2. RQ 1 is a 2 day event and RQ2 is an 8 day event.

Fraternal comment, LOL, Fraternity has left UAL when the MEC announced they were looking into mitigation.

Guppy TI manning is the long pole in the tent wrt training capacity since it's our highest density airframe. A one-third cut in total pilot manning knocks out 40% of current Guppy TIs. They just put out a call for 30-45 new TIs; company's stated rationale is to accommodate MAX return. TIs take several month's to fully qualify. Mid-summer next year is a reasonable estimate for when they'd have these TIs trained up and worked through the displacement backlog. Pythagorus not required, but rational thought is.
Recommend you dial back the caffeine a notch or 12.
