I stand corrected. That’s not the case. And I apologize for the thread drift.

They recently connected the coaches and players (their terms for mentor and mentee) and had us reach out and establish communications.

So it’s still going.

The long-term commitment to Aviate is unwavering, according to communication as recent as yesterday.

Is that a union contact or company contact? I doubt it could churn out the numbers to be an effective scab factory, but still.

Aviate is all company.

Got it, you’re reaching out as an extension of management to cultivate the next crop of scabs?

“Full speed ahead there junior birdmen! Don’t worry that United is going to have thousands of pilots on furlough and Boeing estimates a 3-5 year recovery.”

What kind of encouragement (or false promises) are you offering here? United is publicly saying all CAPEX is canceled, with the exception of a pilot school, and on the eve of massive pilot furloughs?

What’s the spin? Is it just a profit center of false hope?

The future of Aviate sounds like Covid-19 has brought its imminent demise - proof there will never ever be a pilot shortage. We will always be in low demand, with a pilot oversupply, and bankruptcies and furloughs every 8-10 years. As usual!

Just looked at the website for the first time. In light of the present situation, the company must be looking at the “academy” as a moneymaking “side hustle” or else it would have already been made dormant. I’m not even sure they should in good conscience take people’s money, based on the comical career expectation claims they are making. Again, they have to be generating revenue from it or else it would be toast.

Seems crazy that they need to make up the difference. Before all this started the Regional's were handing out 10's of thousands of dollars just to get you on board. I personally don't think It will come down to this. I was out driving around yesterday, and it was like a normal Friday...people out everywhere.

Honest question........Was that "calling" that you cite put out by the program's brain-trust (initials), "C"/H.B.?
