At least two of you have obviously been around long enough to see the fallacy of RJDio projecting his personal experience on an entire career in this profession. He is apparently 34 years old which means he came into the profession no more than 13 years ago (maybe even 11 years ago). If you actually agree with his conclusion that R administrations are best for our career based on his earnings for the past three years, then you deserve to feel trashed.

not chill bro....not chill

how old does someone have to be to have an opinion.....turns out you only have to be 35 to be president......So 35?

I bet a protestor screamed the same thing as he lit fireworks and threw them at the Chicago Police around the Columbus statue last week.

What the heck are you getting into at home while you grow your hair and quit shaving?

It's not just bumbling biden; it's about split government. Sure, I'll take a bumbling biden all day every day as long as the House flips 40 seats from D to R. But that's not going to happen so I'll take:
D House
pretty much split Senate
R POTUS

i also prefer a split government. The R’a controlled the house, senate, and the executive for two of the four years that you state were the greatest of your career. So are you sure you prefer a split government? At the end of the day, Trump is a special case. I would be happy with several R’s and many D’s in the executive. I’m not impressed in any way with Trump.

I didn’t comment on anyone’s ideology nor did I side with anyone. I generally don’t care what someone’s political view is and I really don’t care what an anonymous forum members opinion is on politics.

I made an observation that you’re burning hot on here and maybe consider chilling out for a bit? Nothing more, nothing less. But bringing up RJ’s age is absurd and only supports my observation that you’re in need of some serious chill out time from APC.

I’m glad I never applied at United

How did they account for the Gov grants in the earnings- loss? Is the loss before or after using the grant to pay the 76% or whatever of wages for the quarter? Grant counted in the revenue column?

It’s obvious reading comprehension is a challenge for you. So is critical thinking. My initial comments were not in favor of any political party. You dismiss life experiences and then dismiss my 13 year airline experience and insufficient? Meaning I need more experience, which you dismissed. Dude you are on a roll.

I never understood the fear for the market place of ideas. But your fear and insecurities are turned up to 11.

Why do you need to tell us your hair and beard are long? To prove how laid back you are? I’m sure your the same guy who tells his partner during the brief how laid back you are before giving him the long list of do’s and dont’s of your cockpit. Or insist on your “technique” because it’s “the best way”.

anyhow keep the blue side up.

I was at the regionals in the late 90s....so therefore it is Bill Clinton’s fault I was making $18K a year. I’m sure Hillary’s emails are somehow to blame as well, though.....

My reading comprehension is fine. This is your post:
My best earning years have been under Trump. Neither your point or mine are indicative of anything without further context.

I’m sure an administration whose anti-white, anti-middle class, anti-carbon is gonna do wonders for our careers.

As to the 4th stripe, still wearing it. For how long? Who knows. Not too concerned about it. I’ve yet to turn 35. I’m sure I’ll be alright in the long run.
Not in favor of any political party? OK.

And what life experiences did I dismiss? You apparently feel you grew up poorer than me (not sure what that has to do with anything?), yet you have no idea about my background or upbringing. You even top it off asserting that I've had a 'charmed life' compared to you? I'm not sure what to do with that whole line of conversation. I can assume from your posts so far that you've worked hard and overcome a lot of obstacles to get here. With all sincerity I say well done.

As far as your age and experience - YOU brought it into the conversation. It is relevant because of the very first sentence in the post I quoted above. I took your words literally and assume you believe that this administration is the reason for these being your best earning years. Did I misunderstand? If you actually believe that. I'd suggest expanding your perspective by looking back 20, 30, or more years to get a more complete understanding of the cause-effect relationship between politics & the piloting career. There are plenty of extreme positions & opinions - ignore them and look at the big picture.

I won't even comment on the anti-'fill in the blank' rant. I guess you didn't technically favor a political party, but even a single cell amoeba has the capability to deduce your opinion.

I guess my reaction to your last paragraph is what ruffled all the APC panties? IMO you are WAY too cavalier about losing your Captain position. Good for you, I'm glad your age and seniority make you not too concerned. There ARE a lot of pilots concerned about the backsliding and your dismissiveness rubs me the wrong way. You're not just along for the ride - you are responsible for maintaining and improving the profession. It's my opinion (sorry for offending anyone...) that based on your post you don't quite understand the impact party politics has on our career. Feel free to disagree, but just keep an open mind and pay close attention in the future.

As to your last post and additional guesses about what I'm like at work and elsewhere, I'll just say that you really don't know me. We may have even met if you're a bus pilot.
