Yeah, good news for Continental Holdings. Probably good news for Republic, Skywest and Mesa. For United pilots? Who knows, time will tell.

The press release lists 82 mainline flights and 6 UEX. I’d say it’s very good news for United pilots.

Wrong, almost all mainline. Come next spring regional flying at UAL will be practically non existent.

Regional flying will always be pushed to the contractual limits. The look back will soon have a bigger impact forcing United to maintain the proper average, but regardless of the circumstances, scope will be pushed to the absolute limit at all times. As we shrink, they will too, but they will be far from nonexistent (one word by the way).

Look back will have a huge effect on the regionals come next spring. They will be able to fly a percentage of mainline (block hours)looking back to March 2020. That was pretty much zero. Therefore unless there's a relief they will be contractually held to very little flying for a long time. I would bet there will be a few still to close the doors.
