we are about 2 liquidations - not chapter 11 but actual liquidations - away from anyone getting concerned about the state of the industry as a whole.

I’m pretty sure UA ALPA endorsed Hillary.

I’m pretty sure we’ll endorse the Biden/Harris ticket even though Harris came out with AOC to push the green new deal. I realize that the bill doesn’t call for the abolishment of farting cows and airplanes, but it will have costly emissions regulations that could likely have a negative impact on aviation.

It’s been so long, I’ve forgotten what it’s like to feel excited about a candidate. Chalk up another year of picking the one that you find less offensive. That seems to get more difficult every election cycle.

Pretty much. It's actually quite remarkable. Every cycle you imagine it can't get any worse, yet each time both parties manage to find an even more unlikable stable for us to choose from.

On top of that it was Trump and several Republican senators have been actively supporting the airlines recently; it would be completely ridiculous of them to support Biden on top of what you said. Not even sure why they feel the need to endorse anyone honesty.

I don’t know why ALPA bothers to endorse anyone either. It isn’t like it has any weight. The majority of pilots in the industry lean to the right and vote accordingly, those who lean to the left do the same without checking in with ALPA. When I vote, I vote for the person who I think is the best for the country, my state, or my local community. This job never even enters the equation.

the airline “industry” may be essential. Nobody said the size of it had to stay the same. Any political out cry over Xpressjet ?

Trans States? Compass? GoJet? Miami Air? Breeze?

wait, what? none you say?

even in March 2021, WITH a vaccine, the industry will look different. Airline CEOs, IATA, others claim a full recovery may not materialize until 2024.

what do we do? kept getting PSP for 4 years? What will it be then? CARES 5.0 ?

that is my view of things. I hope I am wrong.

Not if you are soon to be furloughed from here.
