I don't get it. We got a raise, we saved everyone's jobs, we are growing, nobody is earning less/hr than before unless they chose to bid something for their own reasons....we had one month of reduced hours... I guess it hurts to be wrong? We could be like AA farming out flying on both coasts to B6 and AS. Would that make you happy? How many seats are in our biggest RJs right now... 6 less than before. |

As for the raise, we don’t have it yet, but it’s looking increasingly like we may get to that point without enduring much of the LOA concessions. If, indeed, the feds get us to the end of this crisis having only relied on LOA job protection in November ‘20 & come out with a 5% raise, that will be enough for this no voter to call it a win. But for me, that only really means it was a good gamble- not a good contract. |

No, the feds saved everyone’s jobs. The only month we were under LOA protection was November. In that month, pilots who would potentially have been furloughed received 2 weeks of pay. Many of those would have qualified for furlough pay, anyway (which is not to minimize the emotional stress of spending a month under furlough), so crediting the LOA with saving their jobs is pretty dubious.

So what I'm reading here is the LOA 20-05 is a "no gain" and/or "on the shelf"!
Maybe you need to look at the ongoing process of vacancy bids still taking place returning to and adding additional positions. Also maybe reread the LOA itself to realize the permanent gets that will and have already kicked in! |

(Setting aside restoration of junior pilots into high paying seats, which is another discussion entirely.) This is only happening because the airline is capitalizing on the billions of federal dollars they've taken in over the past few months. And don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's happening- I'm just saying it's not the result of the LOA.

A raise? Did you get a raise? I haven't seen a raise? That's an unhatched egg. Will it go rotten before it hatches? Yet to be seen. "Nobody is earning less/hr"? Wrong. I brought this up many times on the forum that there IS a paycut for many during vacation months because of the 2:20 multiplier. Too lazy to actually research your contract and see how the 2:20 multiplier impacts you? Fine. It hit me hard. I brought this to the attention of the MC during the LOA debate, and the response was, "yes you are right", but they decided to sweep it under the rug. This was a big win for the company and a further degradation of our vacation benefit. The MC and the MEC are there to represent the pilot group not be cheerleaders for the company. Yes there are many times where the interest are aligned and I am happy they work together. But we have seen some slanted sales jobs lately. Even the company's Max purchase comm yesterday mentioned current aircraft reaching the end of their service life, implying some of these Max are replacements. The MC's comm yesterday made no mention of that and spun them as all growth aircraft to justify the LOA sales job. I am always suspicious of the big sales job or when someone tries too hard.
