Agree. But how do you determine that?

thought - if (and I’m not specifically talking about UAL but this fully in effect in some corners of the industry) a pre-interview test gouge sheet is widely available amongst squadron buds (or any inside group) and they all rock the test are they therefore the most qualified individuals?

Why is the vacancy bidding screen so wacky?

United IT department. It’s best viewed like the WiFi on the 737. Don’t be surprised when it doesn’t work, be shocked when it does.

Because there are no backfills. My screen is only showing the open categories.

I guess in my short time here I’ve never seen bidding done this way. Thanks.

Probably because they have to manually enter the grandfather rights into the results and also have "new" categories, or because it's the first day seniority estimate and every other first day in history has had some level of inaccuracy due to lack of standing bids, IT refresh, etc. Don't worry about being short timed, every single bid there are guys that still get surprised that the day 1 snapshot and estimates look funky.

it’s a one off for bidding due to the MOU allowing a waiver to the normal UPA timeline of only 6 months in advance.

Guarantee is a bold word. At this point, the company hasn’t guaranteed we’ll be working for full pay credit this fall or even that we won’t furlough anyone by then. Let’s just leave it at the fleet plan as it exists currently would likely require hiring by the fall.

They were interviewing for the twelve 787 fleet manager positions that I seem to see advertised on CCS daily.😄
