If pilots ever had any real leverage, the time is now. Here’s Scott Kirby in his own words. Sounds like he believes he who can hire and retain will be the one who grows in the future.

“There is a real pilot shortage. Regional airlines and low cost airlines are really going to struggle to hire pilots. Other airlines are at an earlier stage of the seven stages of the acceptance process, going through the grief, but that is going to be a seismic shift in the industry. Because people aren’t going to be able to realize their growth aspiration. Not everyone is going to be able to realize their growth aspirations.”

Maybe, but 8 out of 10 pilots will look at that and go TL;DR. Needs some bullet points up front or an executive summary.
