Default Tumi Suitcase...

Oh look! A shiny object!

This seems like something our flight attendant group would totally go for. Nothing against them, but I look at their contract and think: PRIORITIES.

Hey, reserve is going to get worse, premium pay trips are going to dry up, the pay increases don't cover inflation, retro pay only goes back to the beginning of this year...

...but man, a FREE SUITCASE!

Besides, don't the management negotiators know we only accept Luggage Works? Had that been in there I'd definitely vote yes...

Will two of ‘em (overstuffed for winter ops) fit in the guppy storage slot?

I think we already know the answer to that question……

I think it’s to match the new uniforms so we all look …uniform.

Besides if you take the value of the suitcase, divided by hours worked over the TA it is a raise /s

A little known tidbit is that when the company issued FA new suitcases, it considered them company property. There have been cases where corporate security shows up wanting to inspect the “company property” when investigating pilfering from the jets.

Stealing is not ok and if security wanted to search your suitcase they probably could regardless of the brand. However, making it company property reduces the friction in a potential appeal and more applicable makes it tough to say no at the end of a pairing.

Think drug testing but with suitcases. There’s an extremely small problem (nonexistent ) yet we all get the hassle.
