Default UA TA vs UPS Extension TA

UPS has a annuity that will now max at 138k per year.

UPS has a much better sick program that if not used gets you cash at end of year.

UPS has a much better vacation program that you don’t have to work for free in a vacation month.

UPS has better medical with cheaper premiums.

Don't forget ours is an extension, nothing else in the contract was touched. Just pay and pension.

Thanks for bringing that up. UPS gets a pain free extension with a few pay bumps, but United gets shafted AND we’re giving them stuff.

Unbelievable.

Default I'm cutting out my paper bag holes

Talk about being put out to dry. And ALPA calls themselves a union. I'm no longer interested in damn THING ALPA has to say about "It's not a pilot shortage it's a pay shortage " . Are you fricken kidding me? They have the balls to say that and send this turd to us weeks later? SOOOOOO tired of their BS I could **** walnuts.

I would vote today to ****can ALPA and bring in IPA . Maybe then we could get at least a small retirement plan. This TA should not even be brought to a vote ,a complete waste of time

I think the TA is poor but the reason UPS has a better contract isn't their union. It has everything to do with the profit margins in their business.

You obviously have no idea what the pilots/ IPA had to do, to get where we are now............

Remember UPS is a trucking company. Everything we have on our jets the IPA had to fight for. Yes, that includes lavs, water bottles, hot pots etc.

How many pilot jobs would UAL lose under the IPA contract? Look at a entire contract not individual aspects. I am sure however many UAL 777 Captains will love getting a check ride from a pilot hired 4 months earlier who is now a UAL 777 check CA!

BS! It’s because they ARE an actual union. We are an ops group association. No UPS pilot who wears an IPA pin sits across from a Chief Pilot, Flt Ops Manager and while being counsiled has to stare at an IPA pin or union member on the opposite side of the ****ing table! That’s the difference right there. At UPS the DZ types here would be out of the union and off the seniority list. You are either IPA or you are management. ALPA is not a pilots union. They are a huge pilot members association with line pilots and offline managers who are willing to hand out discipline to fellow association members in their membership. Which should be an article 8 issue but ALPO loves that dues money!!

Any 1-3 year pilot at UAL not applying to FedEx and UPS clearly does not know contracts and history nor retirement credits.

UPS should be doing pilot interviews at the Doubletree in DEN and catching new hire UAL guys/gals knowing they are very hirable and all backgrounds are solid. Recruit a few solid 756 types with some good amount of systems and simulator knowledge ready to show up in SDF way ahead of the game.
