Default The AA offer

Not a lot, but I have seen a handful of misguided posts about the AA offer. Things like thanking APA for saving us or even guys implying that pattern bargaining is playing itself out and we’re finally getting the ball rolling for the rest of the industry. I just hope most people are clear on what is really happening. That our TA was so bad that AA management was practically tripping over themselves to sprinkle a little extra on top of ours and make their own crappy offer. I think pilots have created this narrative that SK and AA are so hostile to each other, but in reality they’ll be toasting each other if they can get through this round of negotiations with a deal that looks anything close to what is in our current TA. After 2 decades of getting kicked in the … teeth, we should be making historic eye watering gains in this next contract. It’s now or never.

Amen. We as a profession need to make historic gains and we need to do that because inflation is handing us our ass (and it’s just getting started) and because this time around we have a similarly historic amount of leverage. I keep asking:

IF NOT NOW THEN WHEN?!

It's certainly a new one... "pattern bargaining" based off of a management contract proposal!
