So I just got an email from United via airline apps to take the assessment. I haven’t yet filled out the new app, but did have it in at airline apps. Do I just proceed normally?

Take the test, but also create an internal app ASAP because if you pass, the other steps probably won’t be triggered until you’re in the new system (at least that is the tone being set by the email updates they’ve been sending)

There is a Flight Education section where I did do that.

It won't take flight training or college that you didn't complete. Such as I flew and took classes from OU. Busted my knee before finishing my pvt. Ended up moving and transferring to erau. The app won't let me put OU under either since I'm not currently enrolled or completed/graduated.

Anyone figure out where to put volunteer work? Wish there was a way to see if you did everthing right or totaled your flight time like airline apps or pilot credentials.

Reviving this to see if anyone knows, as I too am surprised they wouldn't be asking for this.

United has also apparently lost interest in night, instrument, cross country, and simulator times, as well as instrument approach and flight time recency (unless those were just Airline Apps metrics for which UA was not concerned). Hopefully this doesn't turn into a series of updates to ultimately capture this and/or whatever else they end up wanting. Fun times.

Unless someone knows better and absent specific guidance, I can only suggest (but could certainly be wrong) we should log PIC time inclusive of IP time, if only because that's consistent with the FARs. Certainly open and receptive to opposing viewpoints as I only want to get it right.

That's how I did it

Going out on a whim here but would like to see what you folks think.

I’m an American who did my initial flight training and started my career abroad. Now looking to move back and land a gig at a major.

What are my chances of getting in with about 1,800TT with 1,500 of it being on a 320 in airline operations? I’ve got about 100PIC and about 600PIC(US)

Not sure if it matters but operating into uncontrolled airports, war zones, monsoons and high terrain is the norm where I am.

TIA.

an excellent chance of being hired. In fact, make sure you call it a “gig” in the interview. That is the secret code word and they will hire you as a captain immediately.

Cheers for the career advice mate. Considering your username clearly reflects your sarcasm too, I might give the interview prep a pass haha.

For those who have submitted, can the application be edited afterwards?
For example, I am short of the required flight time and just need to update that, does it allow for that?
or do we just have to keep it saved and keep editing until requirements are met?

i submitted and went right back in and did an update after hitting SUBMIT. the site gave me an email with a code used along with cert number

I decided to input times based on how airlineapps required it so I did not do it how you stated in your post. Just got an email response from United inviting my to take the online personality test.

Feel like I didn't have issues when it first came out. Now it's giving me multiple problems. Just to name a few...under employer may we contact it keeps reverting to no after I keep selecting yes and saving. Also it's deleting all the addresses for my past and current employers.
