Default United Next = Wait and See

With APA voting to reject the TA what are we now waiting for?

SK should lead the way in order to be the biggest and best airline. I do not remember the United Next press conference mentioning that we are waiting to see what dal or aa does.

It's funny/sad that anyone believed that lame excuse for not responding to our proposals that finally weren't completely concessionary. Almost as amusing as the meme about SK wanting to give us an industry-leading contract to ensure UA is the #1 choice for pilots.

That PPD sure paid dividends.

Good leads the way.

Unless it’s contract negotiations then we’ll wait for economic conditions to stabilize.

Worth noting that we’ve only really been in proper negotiations for a few weeks. (Anything prior to the TUMI backlash was more company directed consensus than it was negotiation as far as I’m concerned.) So while it feels like a years long issue, this stalemate is in a way, a new development.

Having said that, I think SK is quickly losing his messaging on the whole “best & biggest” thing. The worst case scenario from a management perspective would be signing an expensive contract after a battle so drawn out that it buys them no goodwill from the pilots. Momentum matters.

Needs a complete cover to cover rewrite. The MEC email touting “we got you back the concessions we gave away” was so insulting.

No more FSB.
Limits on SC conversions.
Global reserve needs overhauling with more schedule integrity.
LTD (even with the recent gain) is pathetic. Pales in comparison to Delta’s benefit.
Sick call accrual.
Vacation day value sucks.

I’m new here but talking to pilots on line it seems like too many aren’t aware of what others have/what we don’t.

You may be new, but educate everyone that will listen.
