This is about QOL, not base location. Moving the g line to 40-50% in December was a horrible decision at the worst time. You just burned more trust with the line pilots who will now wait even longer to bid CA. Many who were thinking to bid it at 80% will now wait till it’s closer to 50%, because we don’t trust you and you impulse moves. I think until major changes are made to reserve section of contract, they won’t solve this problem and will inhibit their growth plans. A larger and larger % of this pilot group values time far more than money… and the old guys at the top (both mgmt and ALPA) can’t seem to wrap their heads around the concept. |

Not much to watch…Why would you bid Captain unless you are 100% below 40% in base...

More importantly, we need a true min day. Not this daily average BS.

Why would you bid Captain unless you are 100% below 40% in base. They have destroyed all quality of life. 90 hour lines with min days off is what they want the future to be.
what they want is low 70s LPA with reserves. They DONT want to pay PPU anymore. When the top 10% of FOs in every base can no longer live the CA life style they currently are, they will be forced to upgrade. THAT is the goal. |

That’s the opposite of what they want.

Exactly, that’s what will make it interesting for me as a WB FO. How many senior MoFos stated they’d upgrade if they could be home based. Now let’s see if it was all talk. Leave the comfort of WB life even with a commute, or upgrade and watch the trim wheel move. Unfortunately I suspect it was all talk.
I doubt you’ll see any meaningful movement in one BES as a result of these bases, the commute will just get a little better for the ones that live there. |
I think the company needs to check their math. Or, I do.😅
EWR 320 CA has a min and max of 202. Currently 197 pilots. Wouldn't that indicate a vacancy?? |

Is 5 difference enough to have a vacancy bid. Or will they cover it with premium and wait until the amount is more significant?
My guess is there will be a few secondary’s that pop up and will roll those 5 into that. |
