Default Possible New Narrowbody Bases

With a new AIP and some increases to QOL for more junior pilots looming in the not so distant future Im wondering if it will be enough to fill narrow body(737...) captain vacancies. Lots of rumors of new bases BOS, SEA, etc that may entice people to bid into the left seat. It sounds like United is going to see how LAS and the MCO/TPA bases operate before they pull the trigger on new bases.

Would new bases fill vacancies and increase the amount of applications on file? (Plan right now from TK is 4,000 new hires in 2024. Bold strategy!)

Would new bases dilute the current pairings in our hubs and decrease QOL for those who live in current bases?

Pros? Cons? It seems like the hiring pools are drying up almost as fast as standing bids for captain upgrades.

My guess would be Twin Otter in OMA, but that’s just from my crystal ball.

I'd go for the old Rocky Mountain Airways "River run" myself.

No idea but that’s inconsistent with anything seen since 2020. Never had 80+ hires in a single week

One main stated goal from crew resources is to target existing talent at the competition. They didn’t say who in as many words, but at LAS, MCO, BOS, SEA the competitors in question are obvious.

we did for a few months and then training got backed up because of it. When I was at TK they said plan was 100 a week when the new building is up. Whether that happens or not is another story
