If it was one of those axes with a (scary) black/synthetic polymer handle, we should be calling for a ban on them.

Follow up, did this axe ever cross state lines?

Thank god it was just a hunting axe and not an evil assault axe!!

Where was the good guy with the axe when you need him?

If it makes you feel better I carry an inside the waist band holster for my concealed hatchet just for these kinds of situations.

We have zero knowledge of what might be going on in his life.
Will be interested to see how UAL and the FAA "handle" his well being.

with a seniority bump for most of us. That’s how.

The keg stand you do in uniform is vastly different than the keg stand you do at your lake house. This guy is an idiot full stop. I have empathy for people in crisis. I run low on it for people compromising our profession.

Outstanding…..the XL knockoff Tommy Bahama shirt is the perfect cover for the handle.

You see....The story is not an individual took an axe and vandalized property of $700...........

The Story is that an AIRLINE PILOT(in uniform)....took an axe and vandalized property caught on Camera THATS THE STORY!!!!

We've all lost our cool. Granted perhaps not with an Axe and likely not in uniform............but when you did hopefully there wasn't a surveillance camera/CCTV. They are becoming omnipresent these days...the only place they are not are public restrooms.

We've all lost our cool or will soon and consider yourself lucky that it wasn't captured on video. To pretend that we've never felt this way could be really bad Kharma.

The individual as far as we know doesn't have a history of this type of behavior so its obviously some type of Mental Health.

I hope that guy never has to buy another drink for himself.

I'm right there with you........some of the coolest people I ve flown with.......funniest, most sarcastic, anti-company, yet very crew friendly..............you could tell that their humour came from a dark dark place inside their mind, spawned by years of professional abuse, compounded by personal problems mixed in with economic misfortune of the lost decade. It's as if I felt that their company bashing humour was a form of therapy and they certainly were sincere with me ....made for good CRM ....
