Narrowbody QOL poll
What will be the final net result after all of narrowbody QOL improvements are implemented?
1. All Captain vacancies filled in regular vacancy bids
2. New hire volunteers for Captain bid
3. Forced Captain to junior new hires

Vacancies will get filled regardless of the TA. I believe the gaps are mostly a function of the hiring environment and early out retirements (post covid environment)
The delta outpaced the decision process for a lot of folks.
The high gline slows upgrades, few want to be on RSV for more than is absolutely necessary.
High inflation destabilized the QOL/financial equation, more difficult to maintain QOL as salary value decreased.
Early retirements created a plateau of retirements for a couple of years so the only seniority gain was by increasing the denominator.
Pretty close?

I think it will be a while before we stop seeing unfilled NBCA vacancies. Improvements to RSV are there, but not a “slam dunk”, & the rollout is slow enough that many will continue to bide their time. (With the pay bump, anyone who’s been okay holding out will be even more so.) If the company returns a lot of positions to the coasts, it could actually get worse before it gets better. Things will eventually get back to normal, either through realization of contract improvements, hiring slowdown, or some combination of the two. I’ll bet an individually wrapped slice of Eli’s cheesecake on at least another year of unfilled NBCA.
