Cheap isn't cheap.
Maybe going all in on 737 MAXs is a bad idea. Mayyyyyybe 320 series or even 220s would be a better way to diversify. The American aerospace industry has been a disaster... |

It looks like initially "all 737 MAX 9 are grounded UFN" ... but things are changing rapidly.

I'd love to see United get A220s; the small jet market is working well for Delta, so 220-100s, 220-300s, and even 220-500s [should they ever develop and certify them] would be a great way to move away from Boeing b.s. |

UAL has 79 or more 7M9 in the fleet. This isn't ideal.

Ground them till inspection is done 10 man hours per aircraft our mechanics will work some serious overtime the next 3-4 days and all ok again |
