Honestly, it's a pretty good ad. Of course, nothing is better than fighting the volcano monster with excalibur recruitment commercials for the Marines of my youth .

I still don't understand why they have to get their race shots in of "not alot of pilots look like me" baloney. Whoever you are and want to fly; put your mind to it and do it.

Agreed that overall it's pretty good. Also agreed they went the extra mile to be woke. perhaps it was to raise their ESG score or raise blood pressure of normal folks that are sick of this.

It's not about being "woke".

It's about covering hiring needs for the next decade +, and that means increasing the opportunity for those that haven't traditionally had that opportunity, because there are not going to be enough average white guys to cover the needs.

The pilot pool should reflect what our society looks like. A long long way to go to even get somewhat close to that from where we have been historically.

Absolutely not. It's should be based strictly on merit with no regard to your race or gender.

Which of your meritorious attributes were most important when you decided to pursue the piloting profession?

It wasn't race or gender.
