I also want to add that my dad has been w United for 35 years. He is a bit out of touch with hiring but claims that I'm "guaranteed an interview". I haven't submitted an App yet because I feel barely qualified. Do I seem competitive? I don't want to "burn" my interview by showing up under qualified. How much weight does being a family legacy carry? I also suck at interviewing so I definitely plan to get a prep course.

It’s the loss of seat capacity and delivery capacity.
The max 10 started at United’s request to compete with the 321. If Scot says there is favorable language it could mean as little as not eating all the R&D for the 10 since they requested it.
I would call it favorable if I could which from max 10 to the 9/8 and not pay a penalty, far cry from collecting a penalty.

Application subimtted. Had a meet and greet last week and went really well. I was told that he woudl ask HR to push my app to the top of the pile. Does anyone have any insight on if an application will be reviwed before the "prefered" hours are met? Or is there a magic number of hour before HR pulls the application for review? Thanks.

Just an anecdote for you -- You and I have VERY similar backgrounds. I now have 800 FW turbine. Mil helo background. Did a great CP meet and greet back in June and he "was going to push application"...still haven't heard. Been to every conference since and am always told "you are almost there".
