At Delta we're not even supposed to be allowed big water bottles.. we're supposed to drink like ten of the 6oz first class ones instead.

is it cold brew concentrate? That might be why you need to cut it with water to make it not suck
it says “ready to drink.” |
I'm all about the Costco (Kirkland) cold brew right now. Way better than the illy.

Do you guys really get pushback for the water there?? Or is that just something said but never enforced
But it doesn't matter. the stews take all the leftover big bottles and there are none left for the pilots anyway. And nothing ever happens to them. |

I think it's an urban legend or something that guys remember hearing about from the BK era.

UAL tries to look in my bag, I'll call ALPA and a lawyer. They look in an FA's bag?? Here's the kicker, UAL pays for their uniforms, and bags. That's right. Their bag is UAL's property, so UAL can search them. In slow times managers get a burr up somehwere and decide to search FA's bags for "stolen" items. It's serious and you can get fired over a coke. Mainly liquor is what they are looking for but the precedent has been set for decades. That goes for left over crew meals and snacks too. Eat it on the plane is ok. Whatever you do, don't take it off the plane for the layover. Is it really worth your job?? Newbies beware...... BTW, yes, the bottled water was a thing during bankruptcy. It was eventually defined in the contract to fix that. Thanks to Glen...... |

Be careful with that attitude. Once in a while the company starts searching FA's bags. Yes, they can do that.

I am pretty sure that there is a universal “by coming onto company property you agree to submit to searches” clause written into every employment contract regardless of who buys your bag

You would be wrong, re pilots. There are a host of reasons, but one glaring reason is that a certain percentage of pilots have things in their bags that are SSI, and no supervisor is ever going to be allowed access to it. They’re simply out of their depth. Actually, not even a LEO can gain access, unless said LEO is a FAM, if the pilot falls into said category. Additionally, as earlier stated, they’re our bags, not the company’s. So unless the company rep has a search warrant, a qualified LEO, and a union rep present at the time of requested search, all pilots on the list are protected from this nonsense, regardless of SSI status.
A. FAs have SSI info in their manuals too B. All our manuals are digital C. Our managers are privy to that SSI also D. My bag gets searched 2-3 times a week by TSA, Customs, or a foreign equivalent |
