It was a complicated LOA put upon us during a pretty busy time of year. Not ideal at 73% but we’ve seen far far worse.

And yes recall talk is just flame bait.

I'm more worried about the 162 people who voted, but didn't select either option.

"162 ballots were cast in which the voter did not select any options"

Only Toddlers like Gooselives would call for recalls over this. It was an interim deal while waiting for the IRS letter. I am glad a big majority of pilots were fine with waiting.

I agree. I'm glad it failed. My heartburn was the hard sell they tried with the LOA but at the end of the day, they sent it out for membership ratification and the membership voted. I don't see that as recall worthy. Just a wake up call.

Amen, glad we had a vote! Trust me my previous company had no votes, one man did the yay or nay!

In Unity...

It wasn’t a totally unreasonable LOA. It would have started a tax sheltered program earlier than otherwise possible in exchange for starting it more conservatively than otherwise (likely) necessary.
I didn’t think the tradeoff was worth it, but it wasn’t a crazy option to propose and let the membership weigh in.
I would have liked a CBP option early but our members voted and that’s that. The interesting thing here is the final product is still very likely to look pretty dam similar to this LOA due to the differences in United/Delta retirement and health plans and the IRS rules about each. It will just happen later now.

Maybe we can piggyback on Delta for the parts that are similar but that’s not really the rub. Optionality and our RHA are totally different from what Delta has and will be what drives the timeline for implementing here.

LOL Good luck. Screwing with our only tax free option is one of the big reasons this failed. That genie is not going back in the bottle.

If it was single digit that would be one thing, but such a disparity shows a massive disconnect between the 'leadership' and the membership.

Some Reps need a check up from the neck up.
