Only Toddlers like Gooselives would call for recalls over this. It was an interim deal while waiting for the IRS letter. I am glad a big majority of pilots were fine with waiting.

I agree. I'm glad it failed. My heartburn was the hard sell they tried with the LOA but at the end of the day, they sent it out for membership ratification and the membership voted. I don't see that as recall worthy. Just a wake up call.

I get why the membership voted this down, but I can’t figure out why people are mad about it and calling for recalls.
It wasn’t a totally unreasonable LOA. It would have started a tax sheltered program earlier than otherwise possible in exchange for starting it more conservatively than otherwise (likely) necessary.
I didn’t think the tradeoff was worth it, but it wasn’t a crazy option to propose and let the membership weigh in.

Maybe we can piggyback on Delta for the parts that are similar but that’s not really the rub. Optionality and our RHA are totally different from what Delta has and will be what drives the timeline for implementing here.

can you get rid of the veba? That’s a good first step
